Ready to Come Home

Well, I’m ready to come home. I’ve been here for a little over a month, and that’s quite long enough, thank you. The transition from exciting to mundate didn’t happen as quickly as I thought it would, but it did happen. It’s not that I’m tired of Tokyo… far from it! I’m just tired of experiencing new things without being able to share those experiences with my family. The best trip out here was the one when my wife came along.

So, if and when I come back, hopefully I’ll be able to drag along my wife or my brothers along. Of course, my brothers need to get off their buttocks and get their passports.

  1. I’m planning on bringing all the kiddies to the airport. We’re excited that you’re coming home. We cross off the days together, and the kids them down. I hope your Japanese family won’t miss you too much while you’re gone!

  2. It’s funny. When I started with LM, I was curious why is was the younger folks in my group who were traveling overseas often, and the older folks who reluctantly traveled maybe twice per year.

It wasn’t until I was having lunch with one of my managers that he told me that he used to do what we were doing, traveling all over the place, but after a while, it gets old, and the time away from the family takes it’s toll.
